Beet Burgers

Our take on Sakara beet burgers! These have amazing flavor and consistency. You don’t need a bun with them to feel satisfied because of the healthy plant protein. We put ours on a piece of lettuce with vegan chipotle mayo and avocado! Great the next day on top of a salad!

Beet burgers

- 2 vegan eggs

- 1 cup grated carrots

- 1 cup shredded beets

- 1 cup pinto, navy, or black beans

- 1 cup gluten-free flour

- 3/4 cup chopped onions

- 1/4 cup sunflower seeds

- 1/2 cup chopped almonds

- 1 clove chopped garlic

- 2 tbsp olive oil

- 1.5 tbsp coconut aminos

- 1 tsp cumin

- 1/2 teaspoon salt

- 1/2 teaspoon pepper


1. Combine all ingredients into a food processor or blender (if blender may need to add a little water) and blend until fully combined

2. Form into patty and put on a baking sheet

3. Bake for 15 minutes at 350 degrees. Flip over and bake for an additional 10 until the burgers are crispy on both sides

  • Beets contain glutathione S-transferases (GTSs). GTS find damaging toxins in the body and neutralize them before eliminating them.

  • They contain an essential dose of folate, fiber, iron, vitamin C, potassium, and manganese. They fight inflammation and strengthen bones.


  • Helps create new red blood cells that carry oxygen through the body. Without enough, we can develop anemia, fatigue, depression, and arthritis.

  • Vitamin c is an essential vitamin, meaning your body can’t produce it. It is an antioxidant that strengthens your bodies natural defense

Free radicals are unstable molecules the body produces as a reaction to environmental and other pressures (toxic chemicals, smoking, alcohol, fried foods).
